Jersey Shore Wildcats Announce Ben Weston Hockey Director

The Jersey Shore Wildcats are proud to introduce our new hockey director Ben Weston.   Ben joins the Wildcats most recently from the New Jersey Devils Youth Hockey program where he coached the 2017-2018 U16 Midget AAA National team.

Ben grew up playing hockey in the suburbs of Philadelphia with stints with both the Valley Forge Minuteman and the Philadelphia Little Flyers. After youth hockey, Ben attended the Winchendon School to play prep school hockey and graduated in 2008 before playing junior hockey in the Eastern Junior Hockey League and college hockey at NCAA Division 3 Nichols College thereafter. Ben graduated from West Chester University in 2014 with dual degrees in History and International Business.

Ben has coached all levels mite-midget u18, and has coached junior hockey in the Eastern Hockey League. For the past 8 years he has been involved in the Atlantic District Player Development Program in selecting and coaching Peewee Quebec teams, and the National Camp Festival selection for Select 15, 16, and 17 birth year players. Ben has also been involved with USA Hockey National Player Development Select Camps that built American teams for International Tournaments, The Five-Nations and the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament Tournaments.

Ben is certified level 4 USA Hockey Coach and a rarity in that he can be equally effective coaching mites and midgets. As Wildcats Hockey Director, Ben will be the head coach of two teams and actively involved in the development of all the players at the club.
