In a tournament where only the top two of nine teams advance to the lone medal round, facing powerful teams from New York, Florida, South Carolina and Virginia, our PeeWee A White team battled through the round robin phase of the tournament, going 2-1-1 and finishing with 5 points.  Their round robin games included the excitement of a game-tying goal with three seconds left against the Central Park Hawks, a 5-0 walloping of the Long Island Sharks and, when a victory was needed to remain in the hunt for a championship, a crucial 3-2 win against the Pelham Predators.  In the end, with the competition so closely matched, our PeeWee A White team earned its spot in the championship game on a tournament goal differential by yielding a paltry 6 goals in their games against four very talented teams.

The championship game against an undefeated Florida Jr. Everblades team also was a hard fought contest.  Despite the mounting setbacks to the team, the score was close for most of the game with the Everglades only coming on strong at the end to take the gold.

By earning the silver medal, the team showcased their talent and represented the Jersey Shore Wildcats organization with class and dignity.  The coaches and parents are extremely proud of the team's performance.
